TYPES OF LENSES
We offer a variety of lenses and can help you customize the perfect pair based on your preference. Here are some of the options you may wish to consider:
Transition Lenses
These are a type of photochromatic lenses that darkens substantially in response to harmful UV light in less than one minute, and then continue to darken very slightly over the next few minutes. The lenses will clear completely when they are away from UV light.
The major benefits of this feature are:
1) it provides the correct amount of protection to your vision for the varying light conditions you may experience,
2) it is the best solution for having to switch between normal glasses to sunglasses, and
3) it absorbs 100% of the UV radiation that can otherwise damage your vision.
Anti-Reflective(A/R) Lenses
These are a type of optical coating applied to the surface of lenses to eliminate reflection and make the lens look thinner or non-existent.
The major benefits of this feature are:
1) it allows improvement in vision through the glasses
2) it enhances the overall appearance of the lenses, and
3) it reduces glares and halos when driving at night
Progressive Lenses
A type of no-line bifocal lenses, these are the closest to how natural vision is (before the onset presbyopia) that you can get in a pair of prescription eyeglasses.
The major benefits of this feature are:
1) it hides the appearance of the reading lens,
2) it provides a smooth transition from distance through intermediate to near with all the in-between corrections, and
3) it mimics natural vision with a 99% accuracy.
